Jeff Markham: Technical Director, APAC for Hortonworks Inc

Jeff Markham is the Technical Director, APAC for Hortonworks Inc., the company building and promoting open source Hadoop. Previously, he was with VMware, Red Hat, and IBM helping companies build distributed applications with distributed data. He’s written articles on Java application development and has spoken at several conferences and to Hadoop User Groups.

Jeff has contributed to Apache Pig, Apache HDFS, and Apache Ambari.  He’s also a co-author of the book Apache Hadoop YARN: Moving Beyond MapReduce and Batch Processing with Apache Hadoop 2.
