Abstract:
eBay is commonly considered an auction site, while in the fact its 70% of inventories are new and fixed priced, and thousands of promotional events are designed and delivered to inspire and delight the customers with the right timing, product and price at any moment. This session will introduce eBay’s exploration of optimizing the business operation of event planning, inventory selection, demand supply gap detection, and real-time monitoring with the big data product powered by science models, the insights gained and the technical implementation.
